KENNEBUNKPORT BREWING COMPANY RELEASES SPECIAL ALE IN HONOR OF BRICK STORE MUSEUM ANNIVERSARY
KENNEBUNK/KENNEBUNKPORT, Maine - In celebration of The Brick Store Museum's 70th anniversary this year, Kennebunkport Brewing Company (KBC) has released for the month of June a brand new seasonal ale: The Brick Store Museum 70th Anniversary Golden Pale Ale.
Brewer Mike Haley has specially created a mild "golden" ale with a prominent hoppy finish. With 4.0% alcohol by volume, it is a clean, refreshing, drinkable beer perfect for the start of summer. The ale is available both on tap at Federal Jack's Restaurant and Brew Pub and in growlers from KBC Gifts and Dry Goods, while supplies last. Posters throughout Federal Jack's, as well as a new Brick Store Museum draft handle, mark the new ale's arrival. As an additional promotion, on Tuesday, June 13 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM there will be special $2.00 drafts of Brick Store Anniversary Ale.
Said the Museum's executive director Tracy Baetz, "Kennebunkport Brewing Company and Federal Jack's are great traditions in this region, and we're incredibly grateful to them for honoring the museum's milestone anniversary in such a creative way."
The Brick Store Museum is located at 117 Main Street in Kennebunk's historic district and is dedicated to preserving and exhibiting the region's rich cultural heritage. Its galleries and research archives are open to the public year-round: Tuesdays - Fridays, 10 - 4:30 and Saturdays, 10 - 1. Admission is by donation, suggested $3 per person. Visit www.brickstoremuseum.org or call 207.985.4802 for further information.
Both Federal Jack's Restaurant and Brew Pub and the Kennebunkport Brewing Company (KBC) were founded in 1992 by entrepreneur Fred Forsley and master brewer Alan Pugsley, who, together in 1994, also began The Shipyard Brewing Company in Portland, Maine. KBC produces world class ales and is located at 8 Western Avenue in Lower Village Kennebunk on the grounds of a former shipyard, where numerous wooden boat builders have practiced their craft since the 1800s.
